In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret sect.

The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
